Opinion: Pro Athletes Should Be Allowed to Exercise Their Right to Free Speech, Except Colin Kaepernick and Anyone Else I Disagree With

old man

When I heard that NBA players were bowing down to China — curbing their right to free speech solely for business reasons — I knew I had to speak up. This is America, after all, and free speech is our God-given right.

That’s why I believe all professional athletes should be allowed to exercise their right to free speech, regardless of the cost to their organization.

Except Colin Kaepernick.

Fuck that guy.

If we curb our pro athletes’ rights to express themselves, then there’s nothing standing between freedom and communism. Whether we disagree with our athletes’ opinions or not, they should be allowed to speak them loudly and with conviction.

The one notable exception to this is the total un-American traitor Colin Kaepernick. Anything he does or says is pure garbage and should be banned immediately. If anything we need to take away his constitutional rights. He seriously makes me sick, and I don’t know where he gets off.

As a matter of fact, anyone who kneels during the national anthem or does anything I remotely disagree with should have their rights waived.

But everyone else, by all means. Speak as freely as your heart desires. It’s the first amendment to the Constitution for a reason. We can’t let China dictate how our citizens express themselves.

However, if China were to censor Colin Kaepernick, I would support them wholeheartedly. Colin Kaepernick is a piece of trash who disrespects the troops. He’s probably a communist.

The worst part of this is that we have companies like Nike catering to China’s demands just to make a buck. It’s high time that Nike and the NBA start believing in free speech. Americans need to believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.

Unless the thing they’re believing in is Colin Kaepernick’s right to free speech, in which case they can go to hell.
