Voters around the nation were smitten this election week as they noticed that an adorable little third party candidate had snuck its way onto the bottom of their midterm ballots.
“Oh, how cute. I barely even noticed the little guy down there,” said Connecticut voter Tad Farley. “It’s so sweet how these guys want to be a part of the democratic process with all of the big boy political parties.”
While many voters didn’t see the innocent little buggers hidden at the bottom of their ballots, those who did said they couldn’t help but smile at the third party candidates’ naively optimistic hopes of being elected. Democratic and Republican candidates in some states even went as far as to offer thanks to their third party opponents for being such good sports.
“It’s okay that nobody voted for you, buddy. Maybe one day you’ll have your own super PAC like me,” said one Democratic candidate, patting his Libertarian opponent on the back. “What do you say I buy us a couple milkshakes to make you feel better, champ?”
