'Best Hockey Parade Ever!' Says Shirtless, Glitter-Covered Mike Pence at DC Pride Parade

WASHINGTON — Itching to join in the celebration following the Washington Capitals’ first ever Stanley Cup victory, a shirtless Vice President Mike Pence covered in glitter and rainbow feathers was spotted on a float at the DC Pride Parade on Saturday exclaiming it was “the best hockey parade ever.”

“Wow, these hockey boys really know how to party!” said Pence, performing the “YMCA” dance with what he assumed was the team’s starting lineup in skintight construction outfits. “I’m so proud of our city.”

While Pence admits he had never been much of a hockey fan before now, he says the happy upbeat atmosphere of the parade just might make a hockey fan out of him.

“I haven’t even been to game yet, but these guys have already convinced me to come out,” said Pence, taking a shot of tequila out of firefighter’s belly button. “A couple of the fellas even invited me over to knock sticks after the parade. Slapshot!”
