After a heart-wrenching loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady disguised himself as a TSA agent at Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport and confiscated the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the security gate.
The 41-33 win marked the first Super Bowl victory in Eagles’ franchise history, but the team will be returning to Lincoln Financial Field without the iconic prize.
“They should have put it in their checked baggage,” said Brady. “The rules are clear. I also had to take two bottles of coach Doug Pederson’s shampoo.”
Sources say Brady then quickly loaded the trophy onto a plane to Boston flown by Bill Belichick disguised as a pilot. Now many believe it is in a secure area of their stadium in Foxborough, MA along with those stolen from the New York Giants following Super Bowls XLII and XLVI.
“We’re going to bring that trophy to Philly and I know just how to do it,” said Pederson. “We have to disguise ourselves as ninjas and sneak into Gillette Stadium to steal it back. It’s the only way.”
